I'm Laura. I live in rural southern Illinois with my husband, J, and our three children. We are a blended family of "his" and "mine", but we don't see that here. Our kids call each other "brother" and sister" - we are blessed! I have a step daughter (M) who is 11, and step son (C) who is 8, and then my 7 year old son, Cameron. J and I were married in 2015 in a wedding that was a dream come true for me (which I will blog about one day!).

I work full time, so I may share stories and tips from that from time to time. I was a single mom for about 2 years before I moved in with J. I sure learned a lot from that! While I was a single mom, I worked full time AND I also went to school full time. I graduated with my Bachelors degree in March 2015. Easily the third best day of my life (the first was Cameron and the second was marrying J!).

In my spare time, I love to spend time with my cats, scrapbook, run and take photos. Don't be surprised if you see a little bit of all of those here!
I started blogging in 2005 when blogging wasn't even yet a "thing". Since then, I've had about 3 other blogs. Now I'm here at Frame and Focus, sharing my favorite creative projects, home information, beauty products, and other bits and pieces of our life.
